Meet & Greet-Welcome visitors and new members (attendance around 65-70)

Membership– $15/year –

Bee classes: Introduction to Bee Keeping Saturday-Sunday March 1 & 2 from 9-4 $150/person $180/couple @ Rockwood Nature Center Course 28353


Explore the Outdoors-May 4th Huguenot Park – (8 members signed up to help. . .) kid friendly-free-fun

“Honeybee hive is a medicine chest” Reyah Carlsonchanged to June 2014

“Mid-Atlantic Organic Honey Bee Convention” March 15, 2014, 4500 Kensington Ave, Richmond, VA, cost $50/person $90/family.  Third year of Organic beekeeping.  All day convention designed for high intensity, upper level beekeeping.  It doesn’t matter what type of hive your knowledgeable about-after you hear our speakers you will come away with a different perception of how to operate in the most effective manner.  John & Martha Adams see website for details or contact Martha.brooks2@gmail.com 804 285-BEES or 804 822-6267

Mentor/mentee program:  2 mentors per mentee- It will be mentees responsibility to contact mentor.  Rob passed out sign-up sheet

Education:  Feeding during winter months-sugar cake 4.5 cups sugar, ¾ cup water, tsp distilled vinegar mix thoroughly and place on candy board –tissue paper- look for u tube videos on subject.
