Club Meeting on Monday May 13

Hello fellow Beeks!

I wanted to remind you that our next monthly meeting is this Monday, May 13 from 7:00 – 8:30pm.

We will be bringing you exciting updates on our fast approaching Honey Bee Festival (June 15). We will also have a talk by Dr Wayne Surles, President of Richmond Beekeepers. He will be speaking to us on Pesticides In Perspective.

Born in Fredericksburg, Virginia
Married, Kathy Jones Surles.

Two sons, Nathan and Matthew (deceased).

Dr Surles has held a variety of positions and has developed, registered, licensed and sold various pesticides, fertilizers in agricultural/specialty businesses including: bee mite control, structural pesticide control, animal health, turf and ornamentals ,agriculture and industrial chemicals.

He was a pesticide industry consultant from 1999-2004 and the Program Manager of the Office of Pesticide Services (OPS/VDACS) from 2004-2008. He then retired from the pesticide industry in 2008 to open W S Associates, LLC .

Currently he consults with companies in developing unique agrichemical technologies in the USA and Canada.
