VDOF Nurseries

Department of Forestry sells trees, shrubs, and seed mixes that can be grown for honeybees. . .examples black locust tree and buttonbush shrubs,  seed mixes with buckwheat, etc.  They start shipping Feb 20th through April 30th.
The VDOF nurseries now have a Facebook page!! Our goal is to educate the public about what we do at the nurseries throughout the year. Please visit and like our page and show your support for the nurseries. As you may or may not know, the nurseries are self supportive and there are no general funds appropriated for this program. Therefore, we depend on seedling sales from the public to fund this important program within the Department of Forestry. In the upcoming months, we will share information about what we do and will also offer promotional discounts for individuals that visit the page.
If you have any questions or feedback for us, please feel free to call or post on our page. We look forward to hearing from you!! Thanks for your continued support of our State Nurseries!!
Thank you,
